When did you decide to develop this app?
Soon into writing The Good Fight we thought about how cool it would be if our readers could have an app that would help them put the information into practice at the very moments they need it most. After all, most of us have a smart phone wherever we go. Now you can have the tools you need most right at your fingertips.
When did you first release this app?
April 23, 2013 in conjunction with the book.
How long did it take you to develop this app?
Nearly two years.
What is your favorite feature?
I like the fact that it creates “the world’s smallest social network” – just you and your partner. And it allows both of you to have little bursts of education about your relationship even when you are on the fly.
What is your favorite page in the app?
Personally, I love Sharing Withholds. This is a little exercise we’ve taught to countless couples over the years at our live seminar events. Now, with the app, it’s easier than ever to do this and it’s a proven means to lift a couple’s spirits and diminish conflict.
What skills were you hoping to help the end user to develop?
We believe this app will actually retrain your brain to think about conflict differently – using it to bring you closer. It also helps couples integrate the message of the book into their lives. The CORE of a Good Fight is Cooperation, Ownership, Respect, and Empathy.
Who would this app most suit?
This app is suitable for people that are in a committed relationship.
Are any new updates coming soon?
The app is continually being updated – especially as user feedback comes in. This app get’s better every month.
